About

About Legacy Acres

A woman-owned, veteran-owned homestead in Milan, New Hampshire, rooted in land stewardship, resilience, and the quiet beauty of the North Country.

Our Story

Growing food. Growing resilience. Growing legacy.

Legacy Acres at Stearns Brook Farm is a small North Country homestead in Milan, New Hampshire, built on family land, hard work, and a deep respect for the natural world. We are proud to be a woman-owned and veteran-owned farm, recognized through Homegrown by Heroes and the Farmer Veteran Coalition. Our work brings together local food, sustainable land stewardship, forest therapy, poultry, honey, gourmet mushrooms, and seasonal farm stand offerings. Led by a first responder committed to public health, community resilience, and environmental stewardship, Legacy Acres exists to reconnect people with the land — through food, forest, and simple moments that remind us what matters.

Woman-Owned

Legacy Acres is led with grit, care, creativity, and a belief that small farms still matter deeply in rural communities.

Veteran-Owned

We are proud to be part of the Farmer Veteran Coalition and Homegrown by Heroes community, honoring service through agriculture.

Rooted in the North Country

Our farm reflects the land around us: practical, beautiful, resilient, and shaped by the seasons of northern New Hampshire.
